Choose the model that fits, or we find it together in the intro session.
I work where venture design, brand building and brand leadership meet. What I can contribute, and how, depends on where the challenge actually sits, which is rarely obvious from the outside. The three below are not packages, they are three different challenges. The one that reads like your situation is where we begin.
I am inspired by nature. Every brand and every venture is built the same way: the core first, then the structure, then what it produces, never in a straight line. What building reveals sends the work back to the core, and the market can reshape it again.
“Look deep into nature, then you will understand everything better.”Albert Einstein
Now, a closer look at what each discipline actually is.
A venture is designed against three conditions at once, not one after the other. Innovation is not the idea that starts it, but the narrow place where all three hold together and a business model can stand.
“All three have to hold. A venture is built on an innovation of some kind — in the business model, the product, the service, the process, the brand, etc. — and an innovation only stands where all three meet.”
A belief worth testing, written down before the work starts.
The riskiest assumption first, while it is still cheap to be wrong.
The success criterion agreed before the evidence is read.
Persevere, or pivot. What the market answers reshapes the design.
Strategy here is part deliberate and part emergent: order that was not planned in advance is not the same as improvised.
What I add is a reading of it: what the brand does in each block, and how strongly.
The Business Model Canvas and the Business Model Environment are the work of Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur. The brand reading laid over them is added by me.
One process model, shown as an example.
The context decides which one is used.
A business model states how value is created, delivered and captured. It does not specify the offering: the product, the service, the space, the interface the customer actually meets. That is designed, and the design process follows a shape like the one below.
The Double Diamond is the Design Council’s. The assessment that follows it is added by me.
From the venture, to the brand it has to become.
A brand that is built well passes through nine phases, from research to a launch your team can carry forward on its own.
From the brand, to the people who carry it.
You are here if the brand has to be led, whether it already exists or it is created from the start. This is the full inside-out journey, outsourced to me and my team: governance, strategy, identity, internal and external alignment, and launch. We work as partners, building your team's capability as we go, so your brand stays in strong hands.

Most brands are assembled in fragments: a purpose from one workshop, a tone of voice from another, a position inherited from whoever was in the room. The map tests whether those fragments are one system. Twenty-one decisions, each made deliberately or left to chance. Which ones we go deep on depends on where you stand.
Told apart
Building hands the brand to your team, ready to run. Leadership stays in the room until they can lead it themselves.
Let’s start a conversationOr keep reading: the ways of working are below.
The way is the same. What changes is how much of me you need, and for how long.
Every venture arrives at a different point in its story. There is no single method here, only the right models, tailored to where you actually stand.
You hold the decisions. I sharpen your clarity.
For a founder, or a leadership team, carrying the venture and the brand at once. We work only on the decisions that compound: what the business is for, who it is for, what it charges for, and what it will not do. The work stays yours and your team executes throughout; what changes is how the decisions get made, so that judgement transfers, not answers. Most founders arrive with more clarity than they give themselves credit for, and my part is to make it usable. Few of these run at a time, and they run long.
Send a briefA strategist in the room while the decision is still open.
Five, ten or fifteen sessions. We begin by finding the decision that is actually holding you, which is rarely the one you arrive with, and naming it correctly tends to move things on its own. From there: the strategy, the sequence, and my attention on it while you build. Venture and brand are treated as one problem, because they only hold together.
Send a briefI set the direction. Your team makes it real.
Venture design, brand building or brand leadership as defined work: a scope, a sequence, and a named owner for every decision. What is deliberately left out is agreed at the beginning rather than discovered later, which is usually what lets the rest move quickly. I take a small number of these a year, and only where the direction is still genuinely open, because that is where the work is worth doing.
Send a briefCapability that outlasts the engagement.
Built for the people who will carry the venture and the brand once the engagement ends. There is no curriculum: each programme is shaped around the judgement the team is missing, drawn from more than a hundred and fifty workshops. Teams are almost always closer than they realise. They leave able to make the call themselves, not holding a deck about how I would have made it.
Send a briefWe work together, as one team.
For agencies and studios moving upmarket, or holding a mandate that asks for more seniority than the bench can carry. I lead the strategy, or sit in front of your client as part of your team. The work stays in your name and so does the credit. I keep one or two of these at a time, so each gets the attention it was brought in for.
Send a briefTell me about it. I read every brief personally, and you will hear back from me with an honest assessment.
